New Blog Comparison Site Launched

The German IT company CosmoCode just released WeblogMatrix [1] - an open informational web platform about different available weblog (aka. blog) systems.

Blogging became quite popular during the last years and many different applications were created to give bloggers their tool of choice. Because blogging is so widespread today blogging tools are used in many different environments, from personal diaries, over corporate blogs to podcasting and video blogs. Each domain has its own specialties and requirements which need to be reflected in the used software.

WeblogMatrix [1] which is operated by the German company CosmoCode [2] provides a way to compare the features of various blogging products in comfortable side-by-side tables. The comparison matrix can be adapted to the user’s needs anytime by adding or removing products or hiding unwanted features. Comparison data is provided by blog developers themselves and is accompanied by discussion forums and a wiki. An enhanced search allows users to find software matching their special needs.

WeblogMatrix is the fourth of a series of comparison portals, following the success of the popular sites WikiMatrix [2], ForumMatrix [3] and PodcatcherMatrix [4]. The biggest one, WikiMatrix, was launched 14 months ago and lists over 75 products today.
